Yesteryear Collection

McMullen’s was founded in 1827 by Peter McMullen and has been brewing in Hertford ever since. One of its best-known beers, AK, dates back to 1833 and is now the only beer of its kind still brewed in the UK.
The company produces three regular cask ales along with several seasonal ones. To protect its brewing heritage, McMullen’s has invested in and acquired pubs, which are run by managers or business partners and serve as dedicated outlets for their beers.
Today, the McMullen family remains closely involved, with their beers proudly representing the heart of the business.
